Millennial Youth stories are written by young people who have received training either through our own journalism programs or through journalism programs in their schools or communities. Many stories are produced on a freelance basis by youth on assignment. We welcome all  contributors, whether you live locally or across the globe.

Readership: Our magazine is geared toward a high school and college audience.

Our Focus: We cover any issue that involves, affects or is of interest to young people.

What we publish: News, lifestyle features, columns, comics, letters to the editors, opinion, reviews, photo essays and video.

As a publication targeting an audience of young readers and writers, we welcome stories that use multimedia platforms or alternate storytelling formats. Do you have a new way to tell a story?

Other opportunities

Millennial Youth’s main offices are located in Schenectady, New York; however, we are interested in publishing the best journalism written by youth, no matter where they live. If you have a strong passion for journalism and the ability to lead a team, you may be able to start a Millennial Youth Bureau at your school or teach a journalism class in your region.
