Millennial Youth is an independent, youth-run magazine published in Schenectady, NY. Our goal is to publish the highest quality journalism written by youth, no matter where they live.
The magazine is a full-color tabloid providing lifestyle feature articles written by youth for an audience of their peers — plus their families. In addition to youth-produced articles, the majority of photos, illustrations, graphics and multimedia are produced by youth as well.
A recently added comic arts section called SEQUENCE includes comic strips, articles, art tips, tutorials, reviews and contests.
As a publication targeting an audience of young readers and writers, we are pushing to add stories that use multimedia platforms as well as a variety of alternate storytelling formats that are particularly appealing to this audience.
The magazine is published quarterly and distributed to schools, youth organizations and select business locations.
Magazine Highlights:
In addition to lifestyle feature articles, Millennial Youth provides young people with topical, trustworthy, in-depth information about subjects they say they are interested in, like school success, as well as those in which they are not so well informed, such as financial management and health topics.
Millennial Youth stories offer necessary supporting information such as maps, definitions, charts, graphs and “who’s who among newsmakers” in order to provide context to youth who may lack orienting background information.
Millennial Youth consciously reports on stories about those trying to make change and provides information on how young people can get involved, thereby providing a springboard for talk, action and change.
