I hate to be nitpicky, but I feel the urge to point out that Tim Burton did not work on Coraline. It was actually a Henry Selick movie. He worked with Tim Burton on a number of movies, though.

Well as a millennial folks I will tell you that the first thing that they need to cut is education. Those Pell Grants are not enough anyway. College tuition is completely and insanely out of control. And it is getting higher and higher each year. Student loan debts are rising at dangerous proportions. But sadly young Americans end up dropping out (like myself). And for those who graduate many of them can't find jobs for the degrees they have or they end up workingg as cashiers and other jobs that don't even require a high school diploma. Education is NOT the key to success. Education is key to DEBT. I am a young American and I am warning ALL young Americans and millennials. When it comes to student loans, JUST SAY NO. Please, I'm begging you. With all of these financial problems that this country is facing us young Americans will suffer the most. We are heavily out-numbered by the older babyboomer generation. And they are also the ones in political power. Young American Millennials had better take heed and look out for themselves. The older generation will look out for their own interests. I am talking to all young Americans. Even if you are 8 years old. Say no to credit cards and student loans. I care about your financial future. Other older people don't. All they care about is medicare and retirement and burial plots and making us young Americans pay for it. And yet they won't even give 45% of us jobs! What on earth is young American to do? We must stand together and fight! Fight for our rights! Look out for our own interests!

No, no, no. This article has too many things wrong with it. Ok, this young lady said that if she had not been a teenage mom, that her life would be different. Because she would have finished school and went to college. SHE GOT HER G.E.D. That is the equivalent to high school diploma. She could've gone to college if she wanted to. But I am glad that she did not go to college because right now college tuition is out of control and constantly rising. Young Americans today are oppressed with extremely high tuition costs and oppressive student loan debt. And on top of that insanity millions of young Americans graduate and can't find jobs. The older babyboomer generation did not face these issues.

Now another problem is that it said this young lady was in a video documentary titled "A Child Having a Child." This is another myth that we have been brainwashed with in this post-WWII pos-Industrial Babyboomer reigning society. Millennials PLEASE WAKE-UP. A TEENAGER IS NOT A CHILD. Teens are merely young men and young women. From the beginning of time up until WWII, teen pregnancy and teen marriage was normal. The most famous teen pregnancy that ever took place was when the mother of Jesus Christ was pregnant. Mary was 13 years old when she gave birth to Jesus. God chose her. OH MY GOD! WHY WOULD GOD CHOOSE A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL TO HAVE HIS BABY?! Because Mary was NOT a 13 year old girl. Mary was a 13 year old woman. As a millennial what puzzles me is, why was a young lady from historical times considered a woman at age 13? And why is a young lady in modern society considered a girl at age 13? Why were the teens from the past so much more mature than the teens of the present? Why do we insists on delaying a teen's maturity process? Why didn't God choose a 20 year old woman to bear his only son? Why do we look upon teen pregnancy with so much negativity in today's post WWII society? Are we so much better than the people of the past?

I am not a youth but I am a millennial. I realize that not all muslims are bad. But some of them are bad. Just like not all Christians are good. MANY of them are heartless, and cruel. Those bad Christians are giving the good Christians a bad reputation. It is a case of one bad apple spoiling all of the apples. These exchange students have to realize that the animosity that they face is a part of the grim reality of growing up. Even as young people whether we are in our teens or in our twenties, we have to figure out ways to survive unfair treatment. To all millennials remember, as we assimilate into the real world we are already stigmatized and looked down upon because we are young. But we have to be tough and stand up for ourselves. Adversity and hardship and ageism awaits us all. And for some of us racism and sexism is waiting as well. Yes these teens are suffering because they are muslims from other countries. Well this is America. Everyone is suffering. Especially millennials who are having a hard time finding employment and getting respect. The bottom line is that young people all over America are suffering and hurting. We have to all unite as millennials and stick together.

I totally agree Coral! Granted, I don't use abbreviations when texting. I also use proper punctuation and grammar, but that's just me, as you very well know. Wish we could've debated this in Amello's class. It would've been so fun.

Hi Emily,
I just read your article. It was well written and brought up some points that many of us haven't thought about. I'm going to share it with my 9th grade English classes.

MY aunt became muslim in 2002 because her husband was and now she wheres her hijiad around me and it dosen't bother me. My best friend in school in pakistani muslim and no one at my school discriminates against her at all I guess It takes time to get used.
