Design Guidelines
Millennial Youth’s design team provides basic advertising design at no extra charge and can create a basic ad for you that will fit with the style of our paper. If photographs are to be used, the advertiser must supply them.
Advertisers may also supply their own ads. When doing so, please adhere to the guidelines below:
| Preferred Format: | Please submit ads as PDFs or follow design guidelines below. |
| Size: | Do not exceed 7MB or CD disk. |
| Native Documents: | InDesign or QuarkXpress. Macintosh is required, Color ads must be saved as CMYK composite. B/W ads must be saved as Grayscale. |
| Screens: | Lighten screens and photos, which always appear darker on newsprint. |
| Fonts: | Include all graphics and Type One Fonts (not font families). We cannot accept True Type fonts. Millennial Youth reserves the right to substitute similar fonts. Our minimum type is 6.5pt. and 9 pt. in a reverse screen. |
| Art: | Resolution for black and white line art should be 300 dpi. Grayscale and CMYK should be also be 300 dpi. Please submit files as .eps, .jpg, .tif or as Adobe Illustrator files. Do not use Pantone or RGB. |
